At St Andrew’s Church, Tangmere we have clubs for the children in our congregation. They meet on Sundays during the 9.15am Communion Service.
The Clubs are taken by a rota of volunteer parents from the congregation. They begin during the service, after the first hymn, and the children rejoin their parents/carers in time for Communion.
The Clubs are tailored to the following age ranges:
These children stay in church at the back and take part in activities suitable for their age range. The activities are usually prepared using the readings for that particular week. The children who attend the club always enjoy taking part and like to share what they do at the end of the service.
The group will join with JIMS when the number of children is small and takes part in many different activities. This can consist of a drama activity, art and craft or just a general discussion. This group also shares what they have done with the congregation at the end of the service.
